Tempered Glass

Tempered glass is heat-treated to increase its strength compared to normal annealed glass. When broken, it shatters into small, relatively harmless granular pieces rather than sharp, jagged fragments, making it a safety glass suitable for a wide range of architectural applications.

Benefits

Heat treatment enhances strength and safety
Safety fragmentation pattern on breakage
Manufactured to approved sizes and specifications
Available in various sizes according to order

Applications

  • Glass doors and windows
  • Glass facades
  • Partitions and interiors
  • Government and private sector projects

Laminated Glass

Laminated glass consists of two or more glass layers bonded together with a polyvinyl butyral (PVB) or structural glazing (SGP) interlayer. If the glass breaks, the interlayer holds the fragments in place, maintaining the barrier and preventing injury. Laminated glass also provides enhanced acoustic performance and UV filtration.

Benefits

Remains intact when broken due to interlayer adhesion
Enhanced acoustic insulation
Reduces UV transmission
Manufactured to approved sizes and specifications

Applications

  • Windows and doors
  • Glass facades
  • Government and private sector projects
  • Partitions and interiors

Insulated Glass

Insulated glass units (IGUs) consist of two or more glass panes separated by a spacer bar and sealed to create a sealed air or gas-filled cavity. This construction significantly reduces heat transfer, improves thermal insulation, and helps maintain comfortable indoor temperatures while reducing energy consumption for heating and cooling.

Benefits

Significantly reduced heat transfer through glazing
Condensation resistance on internal surfaces
Argon or krypton gas fill for enhanced performance
Available in double and triple glazed configurations

Applications

  • High-rise curtain wall facades
  • Residential windows and doors
  • Cold climate building envelopes
  • Energy-efficient commercial buildings

Low-E Glass

Low-emissivity (Low-E) glass features a microscopically thin metallic coating that reflects long-wave infrared energy (heat) while allowing visible light to pass through. In summer, it reflects heat back outside; in winter, it reflects internal heat back into the room. This makes Low-E glass one of the most effective solutions for improving the energy efficiency of glazed buildings.

Benefits

Reduces heat transfer compared to standard glass
High visible light transmittance for natural daylighting
Reduces air conditioning loads in warm climates
Supports energy-efficient building design

Applications

  • Solar control facades in hot climates
  • Energy-efficient residential glazing
  • Commercial curtain wall systems
  • Energy-efficient buildings
